What they're saying...

"Just to let you know I received the books on Saturday. Thanks again.  Good luck. My grandson, age 5,  just loved it and had me read it to him twice. He thought it was really cool that Santa had a brother.  He said he only has a sister.  I told him how lucky he was as they were both very special and how lucky I was to have them as my grandchildren. You see they are both adopted at birth.  This book should sell well for you if my grandson is any indication. He normally does not care too much for books. He could 't wait to tell his parents about the book grandma had about Santa and his brother and that she knew the authors. It will probably be well worn by Christmas. This one is definitely a keeper in my house.  I must confess I loved it as much as he did. Can't wait for your next book."  A. B., Lake in the Hills, IL

"Thanks so much! The book is great!" V. J., Flanagan, IL

"Congratulations on a very entertaining as well as educational book.I LOVED reading it, and I know the "little ones" in my family will enjoy reading their author-inscribed books!   The CHRISTMAS LADY, also one of Santa's helpers." Hoffman Estates, IL

"What a wonderful Christmas book.  I’m keeping my copy for when the grandkids are visiting.  Also giving one to my niece and future nephew-in-law for fun!  I loved the story and plan on having it become part of the family Christmas traditions!!!  Can’t wait for the next book. Thanks Santa and helpers."  D.N. Schaumburg, IL

"This is very cool! I always purchase Christmas books for my nieces and nephews each year and I will definitely get this one - - especially for those “on the fence”. Congratulations!"  K. M., Burlington, CT.

"This is a delightful little book for kids who believe in Santa - but may be just a little curious or uncertain about how all the miraculous things he does take place. It is the only book I have seen that acknowledges that kids just might have question or doubts, at the same time as they tenaciously hold on to the wonder of it all. What I like best about it, though, is the way it both looks and reads like the kind of old-fashioned narrative a parent might create, right on the spot, one event spilling into the next (this happened and then that and then that) as he or she sits in a cozy time with her child. There is a lot of text printed in a very attractive, just the right size, easy to read font, that a second grader can read, on his own, and feel like he is really reading a book. "

"The look of it somehow conveys the quality of a soothing spun-as-we-go along narrative, The pictures too are clear and uncomplicated - drawn for the kids and not to wow the adult. My son loved reading it first to me, and then, asked "Can I read it by myself, tomorrow?" The authors have a terrific website that tells you more about the story."  R.S.E., Marina del Rey, CA

Many thanks to Rick Kogan for mentioning Santa and Sam’s Big Secret on his radio broadcast on Sunday, December 2, 2007. Rick was also kind enough to give a plug for our book signing at the Book Cellar, 4736-38 N. Lincoln Ave.  Chicago, IL 60625, on Sunday, December 9, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.

This is just to let everyone know that we bought three copies of Frank and Mary Ann’s book for our grandkids in three different families.  Recently, while visiting our son, I read the book to his kids ages 6, 4, and 2 and they liked it, they really liked it!  Because there is a good story line, it kept the attention of the older two especially.  A.
