Our house as well as Santa and Sam’s Big Secret were featured in the “Home and Garden” section of the Northwest Suburban Daily Herald. Deb Donovan did a magnificent job of capturing all of the little nuances about our house while saying some nice things about Santa and Sam’s Big Secret. Daily Herald photographer, Joe Lewnard also did us proud with his beautiful photographs of some of our Christmas trees. Mary Ann and I had the privilege of reading Santa and Sam’s Big Secret to students at the Husmann Elementary School in Crystal Lake, IL. Husmann is a beautiful school. The teachers were great and the students were absolutely wonderful. The fourth graders had some wonderful questions about publishing. We really appreciate Mrs. Reese setting up the event for us! |

We had a book signing at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore, 590 East Golf Road, Schaumburg, IL 60173, during the Maine Township High School Book Fair. |

Another success for Holy Family Academy of Inverness’ Pre-Christmas Book Fair at the Barnes & Noble store in Deer Park Town Center. We did a reading and stayed around to sign copies of Santa and Sam’s Big Secret. Once again Peggy Jo helped us out by showing the pictures from the book to the boys and girls who were there for the reading. Great fun! |

We were invited to sign books at The Country House of Long Grove during the Apple Festival in Long Grove, IL. We had a great time! The owners of the Country House are great people |

Holy Family Academy of Inverness’ Pre-Christmas Book Fair at the Barnes & Noble store in Deer Park Town Center was a hugh success! Frank and Mary Ann read Santa and Sam’s Big Secret while Peggy Jo showed the pictures. A portion of all sales went to Holy Family Academy and its sister school, St. Michael’s in Chicago. |

The reading and the signing at the Book Cellar, 4736 N Lincoln Ave., Chicago, IL 60625 went well despite the lack of cooperation from Mother Nature. Some signed books were left behind for anyone who wanted a signed copy but was unable to attend the signing. Suzy, proprietor of the Book Cellar, was a most gracious hostess. The shop itself is a quaint little shop located in an equally quaint little area. If you get a chance, do yourself a favor and check it out. |
